The FT-991A is the next-generation of the widely popular FT-991. Like its predecessor, the FT-991A is
creatively designed to fit into a very compact (W9.0” xH3.2” x D9.3”) rugged case and will deliver up to 100
Watts solid output power (50 Watts on 140/430MHz) on SSB, CW, AM, FM, Packet and C4FM Digital on the
popular HF/50/140/430MHz bands.
In keeping with the spirit of the rich performance of the FT-991, the new FT-991A provides two new stimulating
and useful advanced features - a Real-time Spectrum Scope and a Multi-Color Waterfall Display.
The new dynamic real-time spectrum scope gives radio operators the ability to graphically view the location of
signals on the band while they listen to the received audio allowing them to quickly move to the desired signal.
The strength of signals on the band can readily be seen on the Multi-color waterfall display. Chronological
order color differentiation allows operators to easily recognize weak signals at a glance; signals that might
otherwise be missed on the spectrum scope.
These additional exciting functions enable more efficient and satisfying operating time while making important
contacts on the crowded HF and 6 meter bands. We believe that the new FT-991A will be widely accepted as
an ideal field gear rig by the majority of the ham radio operators who want to enjoy reliable and flawless
communication on all the HF and V/UHF bands with just one radio.
The new FT-991A naturally contains all the features packed into the original version of the FT-991 including a
3kHz roofing filter for the triple conversion receiver that effectively attenuates interfering signals and enables
outstanding performance while still producing high quality audio. The 32bit high speed floating point DSP
provides effective cancellation and reduction (DNR) of random noise, and the Auto Notch (DNF) automatically
eliminates QRM caused by dominant beat tones while the receiver’s Contour function and APF (Audio Peak
Filter) can be used to further reduce undesired noise. A built-in 3.5inch full-color touch screen high
resolution display allows stress-free operability and visibility.

GigaParts offers a 30 day warranty against manufacturing defects on all NEW items sold on eBay. Most items will offer a longer factory warranty, please contact the product's manufacturer for specific warranty information. GigaParts can only warranty items that are in NEW condition, unmodified, with the original packaging materials, manuals, accessories, warranty cards, and UPC tags in NEW condition. Items not in NEW condition should be returned to the manufacturer for warranty service.
Modifications void your warranty (especially radio MARS/CAP modifications). While radio manufacturers will typically take the cause of any problem into consideration, there is no guarantee that they will warranty your radio if it has been modified, even if the modification was not the cause of the defect. Modified radios do not qualify for direct replacement unless GigaParts performed the modification. We guarantee our MARS/CAP modifications will not void the manufacturer’s warranty for a period of 1 year. However damage caused by transmitting outside the ham bands may not be covered under warranty. Generally, radios that have been modified after purchase are not returnable.
If your order was damaged in shipping or appears to have been opened prior to delivery, please notify the delivery driver and report the problem to GigaParts within 2 business days. Claims for items missing from your shipment must be reported to GigaParts within 2 business days of delivery and the shipping box and all packaging materials must be retained until the claim is settled. Shipping cartons are designed to protect your item while in transit and damage to boxes or packaging materials is not grounds for a claim unless the actual item sustained damage.

GigaParts accepts returns for refund or replacement within 30 days of the original invoice date.
Defective items can be returned for a full refund or replacement. Items returned as defective will be tested to verify all claims. After testing, if the item is found to be functioning properly, the buyer may incur restocking and/or shipping fees being deducted from the refund.
GigaParts will provide a pre-paid return label for defective returns so long as the item is shipping within the continental USA (lower 48 states). For products shipped outside of the continental USA (lower 48 states), the buyer is responsible for return shipping, even on defective items.
Non-defective returns for refund or exchange are subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee. If your order was shipped, refunds for orders shipped with free freight will be charged the shipping costs. Refusal of shipments may be subject to additional charges and refunds and exchanges for these items will not be processed until the shipment has returned to our dock. The buyer is responsible for any return shipping fee's for non-defective returns.
