Yaesu FT-1000D With Issues **PARTS/REPAIR ONLY**

Description

Up for bid is my Yaesu FT-1000D in need of some TLC.
This radio has three major "issues", and here's what they are:
1) Three of the buttons on the lower front panel don't work. These three buttons share a common control line on their PC board, so it might be a bad connection, cracked solder, or broken trace/wire. The three buttons are the "MON", "DUAL", and "UP/DOWN". Not being able to activate the "DUAL" function means the second receiver is always off, and you cannot do split operation without a workaround. Not being able to use the "UP/DOWN" buttons means you cannot QSY in 1MHz jumps. And no "MON" function means you cannot monitor your outgoing signal.
2) It does not transmit on the 7MHz band.
3) And the last straw (for me) was NO ALC indication, meaning it won't put out more than 10~15 Watts. No pops, bangs, smoke, or smell happened when the ALC went to zero, so it's a dice roll if it's the finals, or a lower-level stage.
It still receives great on the main receiver, and the other controls and filters work as they should, but the rig definitely needs help.
I'm just too old to wrestle this 60 pound beast around on the workbench, so hopefully you'll either have better luck than me, or you can strip it for all the goodies inside.
You get the radio, the operating manual, and a nice vinyl dust cover.
Shipping will be "The Going Rate" through eBay for this item, and it will come in the original Yaesu TRIPLE BOX, and the styrofoam inserts are in excellent condition.
Sorry the shipping is a killer, but these things are Big Iron, and we pay for that these days.
