Vintage Fire Dept Hand Lantern by Julian A McDermott Corp

Beautiful condition vintage Julian A. McDermott CA888. It is marked as coming from the Peoria 182nd Air National Guard Base Fire Dept. 1960s or 1970s vintage. It has the original wet cell batteries still in it. Remarkably there is no evidence of battery corrosion however. The cable is present for the built it battery charger. The inside is nice and clean about like new. I'm sure new AGM batteries would be needed (although I think electrolyte added to the batteries would make them work), or some equivalent. This is a nice example of some old technology heavy duty fire dept lighting.
