ONE OF A KIND Henri Selmer Bb cornet made in 1949.
As far as I now Selmer never had made a short model cornet before 70's so obviously this is a custom order,the serial number dates the horn around 1947 to 1949 but this period is not so clear  but for sure this era Selmer had made some of the best horns ever...
The horn is in GREAT condition for his age , no repairs,dents or any corrosion , the only issue is some light scratches on the third slide and the lyre holder that missing .
The silver is 99% and the valves are fast with good compression.
The leadpipe is removable  and the horn reminds me the old English Besson's that made in the early 20 century.
The horn comes with the original Selmer 4 mouthpiece that also looks like a copy of the old cookie cutters , it fits perfectly and plays very good with the horn  , is around .17.25 size with flat rim and deep V cup  (my new cornet mpcs  don't fits to this horn) , all my vintage Selmers plays better with the original mpcs.
It also comes with a vintage cornet case in very good condition but not original.
The sound is smooth,gentle and like no other cornet I had(I had many of them).
