The
Icom IC-2SRA
is a 2 meter handheld with some very unique features. It has an incredable
separate
wideband receiver in covering 25 to 950 MHz solid (in AM, FM-N and FM-W modes)! This feature enables simultaneous two-frequency receiving on the band band or cross-band QSO with dual FM transceiver. Enjoy a full 5 watts output when using external 13.8 VDC. Plus you can choose 3.5, 1.5 or 500 mW of low output power. There is also a 24 hour clock with with an ON/OFF timer. You get 30 ham band memories and 60 wideband memories plus call channels and scan edge memories for 2 meters and wideband receive.
This radio appears to work.  It has new batteries and turns on.
This Icom has a unique feature:
It has wide band receiver capacity if you get a wide band antennae to attach to the port.
It also has a port for outside power to attach to add power.
The two windows will show at the same time and can be operated at the same time. I saw a ham on youtube explaining how he used the same transceiver.
I have no personal knowledge of how to operate it.
It belonged to my husband and he was a HAM operator and
Aircraft Electronics Professional... I'm not sure but I believe he was using it on the ground, on the job.
He could hear the tower and air traffic.
