Got an excellent Ten-Tec or Drake radio with a busted PTO?  Sometimes PTO's can be rebuilt - other times they can't.
Ten-Tec can't help with this anymore.

Up for sale here is a state-of-the-art dual digital DDS VFO that can be used to upgrade older quality HF radios with the drift free, function rich operation found in newer radios.  Specifically, it contains two separate VFO’s (VFO-A and VFO-B) which can either be used in SPLIT frequency operation or as a convenient way to ‘keep track’ of a desired DX station while traversing the band elsewhere.
It offers true RIT operation and the ability to store the last used frequency (for subsequent retrieval) before powering down the radio.  The encoder can also be locked.
This completed and tested board can be installed within the radio (if you don’t mind modifying it) – or – preferably with an external enclosure as is shown with the Drake TR-7 which provides plug ‘n play operation.
Several pictures have been provided showing remote enclosures that I - and other hams -  have constructed.
This DDS VFO has enhanced the operation of Ten-Tec Omni’s, Tritons, Deltas, Corsairs, Digital Century 21s / Argosys, and so forth.  Since the output of the DDS VFO can be adjusted to provide a 4 VAC peak-to-peak signal it
may
be able to drive older tube type rigs with a working digital display.

This board has been thoroughly tested (all new Mouser parts) and will be provided with another (spare) pre-programmed processor (PIC16F18344) in the very unlikely event that this is ever needed.
Only the assembled and tested board and a spare processor are provided in this auction.  This is a stable design which has been used by at least 30 hams (lost track) over the last 12 years.
