HISTORY:
The DC-3 was a 1940s - 1950s era very versatile airplane manufactured by the Douglas Aircraft Company. The DC-3 was often referred to as the 'workhorse' or 'mule' by the military due to the high degree of abuse it could take from hauling cargo to paratroopers. In the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, and beyond the DC-3 was still hauling cargo, mail, and passengers. The Dave Clark Five band appropriately (DC) used a custom DC-3 for traveling during the 1960s.
