Collins KWM-2A Vintage Ham Radio Transceiver w/ Plug-In Relays + Teflon Wire

This KWM-2A (serial number unknown) is in very good cosmetic condition. The cabinet's paint is original with very little wear. Inside, it's very clean and I see no signs of modification or tinkering of any kind. All capacitors under the chassis are original. All of the stock crystals are present. The unit also has the plug-in relays or teflon wire! It seems to be working OK, but we did notice that it's transmitting a little weak on 20-meters and the RX is a little weak on that band as well. Other than that, basic functionality seems OK.
VINTAGE EQUIPMENT DISCLAIMER:
Please realize that this is a decades-old piece of radio equipment and we've spent less than an hour testing it. We haven't done any kind of servicing or restoration. Having said all that, there's always a chance that we've missed some small issue. Further, nearly all vintage electronics will need work at some point... but obviously it's impossible to know whether that'll be next week or next decade. The ideal buyer should be qualified to safely troubleshoot and remedy any such problems, or be willing to hire someone to do the work for them. We have relationships with plenty of reputable technicians around the US and will be happy to pass along their contact info upon request!

All orders ship within one business day. Regarding our packaging, review our feedback and you'll see that many buyers describe it as the best they've experienced on eBay. We use high quality boxes and have invested in a 00 InstaPak foam-in-place system for use on larger items. Rest assured, you'll receive your item on time and in excellent condition! Please keep in mind that shipping costs include more than just the postage itself. There's also insurance, signature confirmation (for transactions over 0), and packaging materials. We apologize if the shipping quote seems steep, but these expenses really do add up. Sure, we can skimp on packaging and waive insurance to bring the cost down... but is it worth it? We think not. Lastly, if the sum of all these expenses is significantly less than what you pay, we will refund the difference.

RETURNS:
If you're unhappy with your purchase for any reason, you can return it within 30 days of delivery. We will provide you with a prepaid shipping label, however it is your responsibility to ensure that the item is well protected. If a returned item is found to be damaged or incomplete (missing parts/accessories), we reserve the right to issue a partial refund. Also, the original shipping paid at checkout will only be refunded if the order was found to be not as described. If you've ordered the wrong item of simply changed your mind, we will not reimburse the cost of shipping the item to you.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS:
As of June 13th, 2022, the only international shipping service we offer is the eBay Global Shipping Service. I apologize for this, but too many items are lost in transit and this ultimately costs us a great deal of money.
