For auction is a beautiful, vintage Icom model IC-551 50MHz ham radio SSB/CW/AM/FM transceiver in the original box with original manual and original Icom parts including hand microphone, cables/plugs, spare fuses, etc. Item being sold as found and has not been cleaned, cleaning will be left to the winning bidder if they choose to do so. Item is from a smoke free home. Please see all pictures as they are part of this description. Item is in stunning and excellent overall condition considering it's age, but item may show some light wear/age if any. Item is free from any loose particles inside it's cabinet. Please review pictures one and two to note the beautiful, original condition of the front panel and all original, matching knobs/push button(s)/switches are present...knobs/push button(s)/switches are intact and functioning. The digital display is also original and free from any cracking. All front panel lettering/verbiage is also present and in very nice, original condition. This item retains it's original factory box, manual, interior packaging material and small Icom marked box containing this transceiver's original Icom hand microphone along with cables/plugs, spare fuses, etc. Please review pictures six through eight as this item retains all original and matching bottom feet as well as functioning bottom stand. Item also retains it's original and matching side feet as well as it's original and functioning side handle. Please also review picture four to note the cleanliness inside of this transceiver and the original Icom label's cleanliness as well. Pictures one, seven and nine portray item's intact and complete, original manual. Please note the last two pictures as this item was briefly tested and found to power on. (works*) Item does show output per meter(s) and talk radio was heard through headphones during testing. (works*) No other testing was done. The Heathkit meter and headphones are not included in this auction. As previously mentioned and shown, it is clearly evident that the original owner took much pride and care with this Icom transceiver. Item shows little to no wear and was gently used by the original owner. Item includes all original Icom extras as picture(s) display. This transceiver has much potential to make a very nice addition to your ham radio station and/or vintage Icom ham radio assortment.
