18” Vintage Emma Clear Gibson Girl doll with molded hair and hat. Signed '49 Emma Clear. This head is an original sculpt, not cast from an antique doll as many Clear dolls were. The cloth body has bisque lower arms and legs with elaborately painted boots. Although it has some age discolor, the costume is elegant, beautifully made, perfectly reflecting the Gibosn girl era. Take a peek at the amazing corset under her dress, shown from behind. It is so well made, it almost looks antique. There are layers and layers of fabric, this doll is a treat! She is from a clean/smoke-free home.
